Sylvia Alice Gelinas-Langston, 71

Sylvia Alice Gelinas-Langston, 71, of Elmo, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Sylvia died while visiting family in Pomona, Calif.

She was born in Springfield, Mass., on Dec. 30, 1933, to Lawrence and Marion Agan. Sylvia was the older of two daughters.

Sylvia married Raymond Allen Gelinas Sr., on Jan. 24, 1953, in Springfield. Ray and Sylvia moved to Kalispell in June of 1964.

Sylvia was widowed in 2004 and remarried to FA Langston on Dec. 6, 2004, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Sylvia was a loving and dedicated wife to FA for one year and Raymond for 51 years. She was the loving mother of eight adoring children and 18 grandchildren.

Sylvia attended Springfield College and Flathead Valley Community College, receiving an Associates of Arts and Associated Applied of Science degrees in human services.

She was an active member in the Bread of Life Church in Kalispell. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards, gardening and puzzles.

She was preceded in death by two of her children, Raymond Jr., and Laurie Ann.

She is survived by her husband, FA Langston, of Elmo; children, Mary Randall and husband, Dave, and Matt Gelinas and wife, Kathy, of Kalispell, Lucinda Tkach and husband, Fred, of Phoenix, Tim Gelinas and wife, Donna, of Sammamish, Wash., Sara Valente and husband, Peter, of Seattle, Rebecca Radar and husband, Jon, of Kenmore, Wash, and Ray and Susan Junk of Kalispell; and 18 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held the summer of 2006 date with location to be announced.
