launched a search Tuesday afternoon for a woman who got turned around when she walked a dog in the woods near her Happy Valley home. She called 911 on her cell phone to report herself lost. A deputy drove to the area and sounded his siren; the woman walked toward the sound until she reached the patrol car. She returned home unscathed.

On Wednesday afternoon, a 6-year-old boy was reported missing from Columbia Mountain Drive. A search program called A Child Is Missing was activated, and it made calls to residents in the area where the boy was thought to be. It turned out a neighbor had picked up the boy from his bus stop, along with the neighbor's own children. He was returned to his anxious father.

Trespassing was reported on Browns Meadow Road.

No one was hurt in a vehicle rollover on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls, a rollover on Montana 206 near Trapp Road, a vehicle/pole accident on Montana 35, or at a four-vehicle accident on Birch Grove Drive and U.S. 2.

Two men in a Toyota 4Runner showed up Tuesday in a driveway on Echo Lake Road, causing speculation about what they were doing. The driver later was stopped and arrested for DUI. He wasn't the only one; five other drivers were charged with DUI.

Domestic problems were reported on Twin Acres Drive, Bernard Road, and Mare Lane.

Threats were reportedly made over a vehicle that an aunt and uncle co-signed for.

A couple of under-age drinkers invited someone to come and get "totally plastered" with them; instead the adult reported them.

A woman arrived at her home on Harmony Road on Tuesday night to find her door kicked in. A deputy decided that probably her roommate - who was inside and intoxicated - who did it because he didn't have a key.

The alcohol odor emitted from a truck at a fast-food drive-through was so strong that an employee called the Sheriff's Office, concerned about drunk driving.

It was after midnight when a man dressed in black rode his bike across U.S. 2 to buy pop from a machine. A driver was worried about the bicyclist's safety, but he told a deputy he planned to take his drink home and go to bed.

A bill-collecting agency reportedly represented itself as Flathead County Sheriff's Office.
