Flathead County Sheriff's Office notified a legion of responders Wednesday evening when unclaimed baggage caused suspicion at Glacier Park International Airport. The sheriff, ALERT helicopter, Evergreen and Kalispell fire departments and Office of Emergency Services were contacted. The unattended bag was about 50 feet from the northeast main door. A plan was developed to snag the bag, but the owner showed up and claimed it.

A golden retriever was saved but another dog drowned under the ice on the Stillwater River on Thursday. The animal warden took the survivor to a veterinarian.

Hostilities at a home on Conrad Drive were reportedly over the way dinner was prepared Wednesday. On Foothill Road, a disturbance was about an intervention a family tried to do for an older man.

Deputies were called about a man causing a disturbance on Terrace Drive Wednesday night. He agreed to sleep it off, but less than an hour later deputies were called back. That time, he went to a motel for the night. On Sunset Drive, a drinking man was advised to go to sleep rather continuing a disturbance.

A crying woman on Kelly Road was found to have had an argument with her boyfriend.

At a rock quarry near Marion, a fence was cut and tools were stolen. A check from Liberty Street was forged.
