Eureka's season comes to an end

LIBBY - Matt Peltier scored 24 points but it wasn't enough to keep Eureka alive in the District 8-B basketball tournament Friday as the Lions fell 71-65 in overtime to Mission.

Thane Adams added 19 points for the Lions, who had their season come to an end with the loss. Isiah Linnell chipped in with 13 points before fouling out.

The Bulldogs, who advance to today's consolation championship against Arlee, were led by Gus McDonald's 25 points and Tyler Trudeau added 22, including a team-high six in overtime.

Mission took an 18-9 lead after one quarter, but the Lions rallied for a two-point halftime advantage. The game remained close until the Bulldogs pulled ahead in OT.
