County planning board considers two new subdivisions

Two major subdivisions and a zone change come before the Flathead County Planning Board tonight.

Public hearings will be held on four items, including:

-A text amendment to the Flathead County Lake and Lakeshore Regulations submitted by Flathead County.

The amendments address nonconforming structures, administrative permits, marinas, vegetation and other items related to the lakeshore and lakeshore protection zone.

-The preliminary plat of Sunset Trail, a 12-lot single-family residential subdivision on 21 acres at 2485 Holt Stage Road.

The lots would all have individual septic systems and water wells.

-The preliminary plat for Great Bear Estates, a 13-lot subdivision on 13.8 acres located off Hodgson Road.

The lots would be served by multi-user water wells and individual septic systems.

-A zone change from SAG-10 to SAG-5 for 23 acres located at 136 and 140 Wintercrest Drive, in the Highway 93 North Zoning District.

The planning board meets in the second-floor conference room at the Earl Bennett Building in Kalispell, beginning at 6 p.m.
