The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took reports of three stolen vehicles. One is a 1986 gray Nissan pickup that disappeared from Hungry Horse. A white 1992 Geo Tracker with a black top was stolen in Kila. A white 1990 Chevy pickup was reported stolen from behind the city airport.

A concerned woman called to say her sister had not returned a phone call for a week and that was out of character for her. She wanted a deputy to check on the woman's welfare. A deputy talked to the sister, who said she had already told her nephew that she has no intention of ever calling her sister back and couldn't believe her sister had called law enforcement.

A homeowner near Spoon Lake experienced a less-charming Goldilocks tale, in which an intruder broke in, stayed, and then left behind shoes, a belt and cigarettes.

Harassing calls were reported on Willow Glen Drive. A neighborhood problem was reported near Columbia Falls. A property dispute was reported on Reed Lane. A son and mother's dispute was reported on Willow Glen.

At the Holiday gas station, a customer reported that a drunken man commandeered a parking spot and then made threats.

A front window was broken at Chumley's in Bigfork. Tail lights were broken on Jellison Road. Air was let out of tires on several vehicles at Colortyme. A hole was shot in a sign at Ferndale Market. A woman reportedly broke locks off a door on Jellison Road.

A deputy agreed that a strong raw sewage odor Sunday on Somers Stage Road bore some investigation by the Health Department.

A man was seen beating a dog on Tamarack Lane. A woman who beat on the windows of her husband's vehicle at Meadow Manor was arrested. Something seemed suspicious about that guy with dreadlocks who walked into a field, lay down for a few minutes and then made his way to a resident's house. He beat it before an officer arrived.

About 20 youths reportedly threw rocks at traffic in Hungry Horse.

A resident on Ranchette Road reported the arrival of six vehicles and some teenagers who were heard making cryptic comments such as, "Where is my towel?" A deputy investigated and found the youths were going to the home of one of the girl's uncles, who was out of town.

Officers are investigating after a man showed up at Town Pump near Wal-Mart with burns from acid or hot grease. He described a black SUV with youths inside who threw something at him, but it appeared that happened quite a while before he sought help.

Outgoing mail from South Cedar Drive was intercepted and opened and then found in a Helena Flats Road mailbox. Theft and forgery of a check was reported on Cloverleaf Drive. A purse was stolen at Wal-Mart.

There was a complaint about some service work done and then there was shoving on Rocky Cliff Road.

It wasn't a prowler upstairs on West Lakeshore Drive; it was just a grandpa.
