The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was called when three men were seen entering a barn at a wildlife refuge in Somers. One carried an ax. The men didn't respond when someone shouted an inquiry at them. Axing sounds ensued. It turned out to be a prank and there was no damage.

The Somers Fire Department was called twice about gas or oil that leaked into Flathead Lake. The Office of Emergency Services also responded.

A girl was taken into custody after a domestic problem; the family was concerned because of her access to a tire iron and a knife. On Montana 206, a man threw things around in another case of domestic strife.

Threats and damage highlighted a dispute about rental property at Addison Square.

Jewelry was missing on Lost Creek Drive. A stereo was taken from a car near Columbia Falls. A four-wheeler was stolen from Juniper Lane. A blue 1992 Blazer was reported stolen from the Conlin's parking lot. Golf clubs were stolen on Bear Trail. Tools were stolen on South Cedar Drive. Another vehicle was stolen on Willow Glen Drive.

It didn't shed any light on a man's intentions when a Hungry Horse resident switched on a porch light, but it did scare him away. The resident said the man had been prowling out in front of the house at 1 a.m. Another prowler was reported on Ekalaka Lane, where he took the trouble to put a chair beneath a woman's window.

The person screaming "Help me!" couldn't be found at 2 a.m. on Montana 35.

A mountain lion was reported on Terrace Lane near Bigfork. Loose horses in questionable health were found on Farm to Market Road.

The party before midnight at Presentine fishing access didn't involve alcohol or drugs, but one woman there was found to be wanted on two warrants.

It's bad to have a car break down on the highway and have to leave it there; it's worse to come back and find someone has smashed a window in it.

Patience is running out for an unwanted man who keeps returning to Wal-Mart.

At Rocky Mountain Hi Campground, some children reportedly tried to drown a cat. Failing that, they threw rocks at it. Deputies talked with them about why they shouldn't do that.
