Homer E. Henricksen, 87, "went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" on July 27, 2005, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

He was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Kalispell to Amanda C. and Harry B. Henricksen. Homer attended schools in Kalispell, graduating from Flathead County High School in 1937. He then joined the family business, Henricksen Motor Co., where he worked for most of his adult life.

Homer was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, singing in the choir for 65 years, a member of Lutheran Brotherhood and a life member and past president of Sons of Norway.

The most important thing in Homer's life was his family, and he loved to visit with and travel to see them all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Howard, who died just over one month ago; brother, Gordon "Pink" Henricksen; sisters, Nordis (Schuster) Jacobson and Phyllis (Bolton) Felix.

He is survived by his brother, Harry Henricksen; sister, Leona, and her husband, Hans Lenshow; 12 nieces; four nephews; and several cousins.

"We will miss Homer deeply but we know we will be together again at the table of our Lord. Please join us in a celebration of Homer's life at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 1, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church." Reception is afterward in the church basement.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Hospice.
