Majella "Della" Gwen (Shannon) Jones, 79

Majella "Della" Gwen (Shannon) Jones, 79, passed away Friday, May 27, 2005, at Heritage Place.

Majella was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Kalispell. Della married Raymond U. Jones in Great Falls in 1949. They were divorced in 1970. They had five children.

Della was an accomplished seamstress and made many clothes for her children as they grew up. She also enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint canvas.

Della was very much into capturing memories with her camera. She had fun going over the pictures and giving them away.

Della will be missed by her family and friends very much. She added a bit of sunshine to everything she did. "We love you Della! See you in the heavens."

Della was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rosemary Shannon; two brothers, Robert and Harry; one sister, Norma Shannon; and two sons, Richard Dale Jones and Ralph Edward Jones.

Della is survived by her twin sister, Sister Cecilia Marie, of Jonesboro. Ark.; one brother, Dick Cassutt, of Fort Benton; another sister, Rosalie Fitzhenry of Onarga, Fla.; two sons, Raymond Michael Jones of Davenport, Wash., and Robert Finas Jones of Martin City; one daughter, Edna Diana Jones, of Columbia Falls, grandson, Jason Jacobsen, and great-grandson, Mason Jacobsen of Chester.

Memorial services for Della will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
