The rain may have stopped for a while, but the flooding and road closures have not.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Montana 35 is still blocked by flooding between Polson and Bigfork, except between mile marker 4 and mile marker 8, which is open to local traffic only. No traffic at all is permitted between mile marker 9 and mile marker 13.

The sheriff's dispatcher described the road as being damaged and under a foot of water in places.

"It will definitely be closed throughout the weekend," she said.

Other road closures include: Michel Road in Ronan, where two bridges are out; Hillside Road at St. Mary's Lake Road in the Mission Valley, where a bridge is out; Allard Road off Post Creek Road; Rocky Butte Bridge in Ronan; North Couture Loop; and Timberlane Road in Ronan which is being called "a mess."
