Kalispell police responded to a call from the Kalispell Center Mall about a suspicious looking man holding a "will-work-for-food" sign. The man received a ride to Wal-Mart.

Officers went to the Earl Bennett building to check out a suspicious looking box. They determined the literature it contained was not a threat.

Two girls, 14 and 15, were arrested on charges of theft at Kalispell Junior High School. A 14-year-old boy trumped those charges. He was arrested on 14th Street East for alleged felony assault with a weapon.

There was a case of mistaken gender at the Finish Line. A caller reported a drunken man passed out under a picnic table near the parking lot. Police, though, found a woman passed out there. She was given a ride to a home on Second Avenue.

Another case of mistaken appearances occurred at the intersection of Main and Idaho streets where a van was stalled in the turning lane. A caller said a small child was left unattended in the vehicle. Police checked it out and found a 12 year old, not a small child.

A caller requested police look into a traffic jam on East Idaho, but police determined the traffic was no worse than usual.

Someone drove a van into a building on First Avenue West.
