Kalispell police

| June 17, 2005 1:00 AM

Kalispell police were called Thursday morning about a suspicious bag left on the front porch of a Buffalo Square Court home. The bag had "a really bad odor coming from it," and the resident did not want to investigate to find out what was in it. A policeman arrived. A lightning-fast examination ensued. A determination was rendered. Skunk. It was removed.

Less fragrant, but still of concern, were three deer in traffic on Third Avenue East on Thursday.

At Mulligan's, the driver of a truck was distracted long enough to run over a curb and strike the building, causing an estimated $4,000 in damage. Another errant driver ran over concrete flower boxes on Seventh Street West. For the trifecta, a woman hit a pole in the Barley's parking lot.

A young man who yelled at cars near the library agreed to pipe down until his mother arrived to pick him up.

Two preteen boys were charged Wednesday with theft at the skate facility in Woodland Park. More stealing was reported at the water park Thursday, and parents were notified. Two underage drinkers were charged with alcohol possession after a traffic stop near the high school.

A report of a 12-year-old boy sexually harassing younger children is under investigation.

A man who was geared up for a fight left the Valley Bank parking lot before he got it.

A vacant house on 10th Avenue West was broken into, as evidenced by the spray-painted doors and windows.

On Glenwood Drive, a resident reported a relative who was sitting outside in the nude, smoking. An officer found the man to be intoxicated, and he took his bare butt(s) inside.
