The Flathead County Sheriff's Office started investigating a report of a drunken woman driving on U.S. 93 and ended up arresting and using a Taser jolt to shock a man. A deputy checked on a woman reported as drunk on U.S. 93 and found her to be fine. The officer went to Scotty's Bar to follow up on the incident. There, he found a couple arguing. The man reportedly was angry that his pregnant girlfriend was drinking. The deputy said he would take the couple home, but he first disposed of a marijuana pipe reportedly found in one of their cars by breaking it and flinging it across the road. The enraged man reportedly thought the officer had flung his keys and attacked him. He was subdued with a Taser gun and was charged with assault on an officer and obstructing an officer.
