A Wyoming man was killed Monday after he crashed his motorcycle and was run over by a logging truck on U.S. 93 near the Dog Creek Campground north of Olney.

Dave Lieb, deputy coroner for the Flathead County Sheriff's Office, said the man swerved to miss a deer in the road, fell off his motorcycle and was run over by the truck.

The man's wife, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, was injured in the accident.

She was transported by ALERT helicopter to Kalispell Regional Medical Center at about 3 p.m. Monday.

The motorcyle was towing a small trailer.

The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, and names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family.

The fatality was the 113th on Montana roads this year, compared to 94 on this date in 2004.
