Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded Tuesday to a business on Montclair Drive, where a man and woman apparently were yelling and dragging each other around the steel sales office.

No arrests were reported from the dust-up.

A guest at the La Quinta Inn not only left without paying the bill but also trashed the hotel room.

Deputies headed out on a critter patrol on First Avenue South in Martin City early Tuesday morning when the resident reported "a very large critter" in her back yard for the second night in a row.

No large critter was found; however, a bear was an animal of interest.

Deputies prepared to provide an agency assist at the Raven in Woods Bay when the crowd got rowdy near closing time. However, everyone went home without a disturbance.

A report from Coram raised concern when a caller claimed to hear shots and saw a man grab a woman and put her in a red vehicle. He then hung up when asked more questions by dispatch.

A clerk at the convenience store where the call originated heard nothing but saw about six men in a white Nissan who may have made a prank call.

Good fences haven't made good neighbors on Pioneer Road. Deputies counseled neighbors fighting about a fence-building project about how to settle their differences in a civil procedure.

Deputies were called to help residents of a South Cedar apartment remove their in-laws who had been drinking and refused to go home. It apparently has been an ongoing problem.
