Matthew Morgan "Matt" Plympton, 20, died early in the morning, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, due to a tragic unfortunate incident in Darby.

Matthew was born May 5, 1984, to Vance V. and Helga Jean (Pollock) Plympton in Kalispell. He attended schools in Kalispell. Matt was a wonderful boy and the kindest person one could ever know. He had a gentleness and kindness that few people could ever hope to obtain. Matt had a gift of humor and wit that made everyone around him laugh.

Matt loved the outdoors. Fishing was his passion. He also enjoyed camping, snowboarding and hunting.

Matthew came from a large extended family and was deeply loved by all. The babies and the children were always attracted to him because of his gentle manner and the kindness and patience he possessed.

Matt had previous brushes with death, the most recent being his heart failure. Through prayers and love, his heart was healed. He was looking forward to going to college starting this fall and spending his life with Tueme Balk, his fiancee.

Matt was a young adult not yet a man, we will never know the man he was to become because his life was taken in a senseless tragic manner. The one thing we are sure of is that he never had to knock at heaven's door -- the door was wide open and waiting for him to come in. He had a deep faith in the Lord and that faith is what sustains the remaining family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Buster Pollock and Warren Plympton I, and a grandmother, Esther Pollock.

Survivors include his father and mother, Vance and Helga Plympton; sister and brother-in-law; Laressa and Mark Brushia; two nephews, Anthony and Ethan Brushia; his love and fiancee, Tueme Balk; a grandmother, Jacqueline Plympton; 10 uncles, 11 aunts and numerous cousins.

A wake service will be held until 1 p.m. today, March 3, at the Grantsdale Community Center. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. today, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Hamilton. The Rev. Father John Darragh will be the celebrant. A reception will follow at the Grantsdale Community Center.

Letters of remembrances may be sent to Mrs. Plympton, 2691 Phyllis Lane, Billings, MT 59102 or e-mail to brothersr@msn.com.

A private family dispersion of the cremated remains will take place in Flathead County. Services are entrusted to the care and direction of Ronald Brothers with Dowling Funeral Home & Crematory, 415 S. Second St., Hamilton, 363-1111.
