Flathead County Sheriff

| May 5, 2005 1:00 AM

Flathead County Sheriff's Office went to Emmons Canyon Road Sunday where a man with a beer in one hand reportedly menaced neighbors with a gun in the other. After some hollering and disturbing, he was arrested.

On Shelter Valley Drive, a man reported that his ex-wife took his vehicle without permission and broke windows in the house. A dispatcher called the man back and he denied there was a problem and said the woman hadn't broken any windows and he didn't want a deputy to respond. One did anyway to make sure everything was OK. Ten minutes after the deputy left, the woman called and said she was having problems with the man and wanted a deputy to return. Then she called back and said the man was leaving and she didn't want help after all.

Another couple in upheaval on Montana 35 agreed to stay away from each other for the night on Sunday. Same story, same result at Many Lakes.

The melee on U.S. 2 West near Columbia Falls was between a man and his parents, who declined to press charges. More hostility came from Shady Lane where someone saw three or four girls beat up another girl.

On the North Fork Road, children caused concern by playing on the railroad tracks. Near the Blue Moon, a teenager jumped out into traffic and spat at passersby, but his biggest trick was vanishing before deputies arrived.
