The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was busy with animal complaints.

The horses on Dillon Road fared better than cows on Montana 82, where one was hit by a car. Dogs killed sheep on U.S. 2 and a sheepish dog that was picked up by an animal warden Saturday returned on Monday to the consternation of a resident on Caroline Road.

Yelling and screaming that drew officers to a disturbance on Montana 35 was over a car. A threatening call was reported on Lake Blaine Road.

There was something so suspicious-looking about that garbage bag found on U.S. 93 south that a woman couldn't make herself look in it. A deputy found that the bag contained animal bones.

A woman was arrested on First Avenue North in Hungry Horse after her sister said she assaulted her.

A man in a cowboy hat put the emphasis on "lounge" outside of the Tall Pine Lounge on Montana 35 Sunday. A deputy suggested he find another place to sleep. Another man didn't want to be disturbed from his slumber beneath a tarp on Pioneer Road.

A harassing call was reported on Braig Road.

At 2 a.m., a woman reported that a man in a hat and sunglasses was in a garbage bin behind Ridgewood Terrace Mobile Home Park. She called for a deputy when she noticed the man had her mail in his hand.

Rifles were stolen from a truck on U.S. 2. A CD player was removed from a motor home on Jellison Road. A washer and dryer are missing from a home on Foy's Lake Road.

An attempted burglary was reported at the veterans food bank on Montana 35.

A sexual assault was reported in Columbia Heights.

Boaters in distress were reported by a witness at Angel Point, but a deputy found that they were just fine.

Columbia Falls police took a report of a possible forgery at a business Monday.

A woman who appeared in court Monday was arrested for disorderly conduct in connection with a problem that happened Sunday.
