Edna Marie Ottosen, 99

Edna Marie Ottosen, 99, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the Lake View Care Center in Bigfork.

Edna was born in Racine, Wis., on Sept. 14, 1905, to Louis and Marie Anderson.

Following her marriage to Stanley Ottosen on May 2, 1930, in Plentywood, she and her husband homesteaded on the prairie and began their family. Seven children were born to this union.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; two daughters, Gerry and Darla; one granddaughter, Angela; and two great-grandchildren, Natasha and Brandon.

Survivors include two daughters, Monta and Milly; Edna's three sons, Ed, Dave, and Don; as well as numerous other family members, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Edna's greatest joy was found in serving her family, decade after decade. She will always be remembered for her ceaseless hospitality and generous offerings of homemade Danish pastries, gentle smiles and genuine love. She truly was a Proverbs 31 woman.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Bigfork Chapel Assembly of God Church in Bigfork, with Pastor Martin Davis and Associate Pastor Rose Ottosen officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
