Donald Richard German, 63

Donald Richard German, 63, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at his home in Kalispell.

He was born Nov. 10, 1941, in Swathmore, Pa., to Earl and Anna Belle (Duffy) German. He attended schools in Hialeah, Fla.

On April 1, 1978, he was united in marriage to Tessa Flye at Lake Worth, Fla. He worked as a truck driver in Miami, where he was a member of Teamsters Local 769 from 1973 until 1994. He also did electrician work in Palm Beach County until his retirement. Following his retirement they moved to Kalispell.

He was an avid reader of the Civil War era, loved antique cars, the outdoors and camping and truly loved Montana. He enjoyed family gatherings; especially barbecues. He exercised and lived with strong Christian values.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bud German; and a sister, Dorothy Zelenick.

He is survived by his wife, Tessa German, of Kalispell; four sons, Donald German and wife, Stefanie, and Michael German and wife, Christine, of Pennsylvania, Paul German and wife, Dawn, and David German, all of Kalispell; three daughters, Ann Ford and husband, Tim, of Pennsylvania, and Kristen German, Shana MacNair and husband, Jacob, all of Kalispell; 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Bobby, Christopher, Autumn, Tessa, Alexandria, Serene, Sierrah, Ashleigh, Donald and Benjamin; a brother, Walter German and wife, Pat, of Florida; and a sister, Barbara Crosby of Montana; nephew, Dennis Ramsey and wife, Bonnie, of Montana; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A public visitation for Donald Richard German will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, May 14, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel. No services will be held at this time.
