Helen E. Prince, 89

Helen E. Prince, 89 died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born Oct. 19, 1915, at Reserve, the daughter of Halvor and Anna (Brue) Everson. Helen was a graduate of Plentywood High School and she attended the Kinman Business College of Washington as well as graduating from MSU in Bozeman.

She moved to the Flathead in 1945 and worked as a home demonstration agent throughout the Flathead and also worked for the County Extension Service of Blaine County.

Helen married her husband, Henry Prince, at the First Presbyterian Church in Kalispell, on Dec. 12, 1948, having their son Don join their family in 1950. Helen and her husband owned and operated the Braunberger Jewelry Store here in Kalispell, retiring in 1979. From retirement until the passing of her husband, Henry, in 1997, the two enjoyed the beauty of the Flathead Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Don, Kenneth, and Harold Everson; and two sisters, Viola Bennett and Lillian Ferguson.

She is survived by her son, Don Prince, of Kalispell, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, May 17, with Pastor Glenn Burfeind of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Urn burial will follow at C. E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
