Aidan Daniel Moberg, 5, passed away May 17, 2005, in Oceanside, Calif., of cardio respiratory failure, secondary to late infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (NCL or Batten disease.)

Aidan was born Aug. 24, 1999, in Moses Lake, Wash., He was raised in Spokane and Whitefish.

He attended school at Head Start in Columbia Falls, and at a special program at Muldown elementary School in Whitefish.

Aidan has a small obsession with cars and trucks. If it had wheels; he loved it.

He loved spending time with his family. He especially loved when the family was altogether, when he would name each of us, one by one.

Aidan loved taking rides in "Papa's" truck. He enjoyed frequent trips with his family to Whitefish City Beach where he would play with his cars in the water. He was "our Water Baby."

He really liked going to school and being with his teacher, Faith, and his classmates.

He loved Scooby-Doo.

Aidan has a powerful impact on everyone who met him. He will be missed but will always be with us in spirit.

Batten disease is an inherited, degenerative, neurological disease which may affect a person of any age, but primarily strikes infants, toddlers and school-age children.
