Kalispell police got a call at 11 p.m. Monday when a man hit a tree on Fifth Avenue West and Fifth Street. After failing to move the car, he reportedly tried to flee and was caught. Aaron Castillo-Pulse, 21, was charged with his third DUI, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license and having no insurance.

A resident on Ninth Avenue West was alerted by a neighbor that there was a woman under her camper. The woman, described as dirty and confused, emerged and left with a small child. Later, on Sixth Avenue East North, someone was approached by a intoxicated woman with a small boy. On neither occasion could they be found by police. The sheriff's office had a similar report Monday.

At Salty Dog Dive Shop, a customer tried to buy items with a credit card he said was his father's. The card wasn't accepted and the phone number given by the customer proved to be false.

Two panhandlers at Michael's convenience store required two visits from officers, telling them to leave. Four boys similarly didn't want to leave the parking lot at Kalispell Center Mall where their loitering caused unrest.

Dogs barked, ran free, and caused canine chaos around town. When two dogs fought on Sixth Avenue East, a man who tried to intervene got a bite for his trouble.

Tuesday afternoon, a man requested a ride from Woodland Park to Wal-Mart, where he wanted to apply for a job. "Subject is intoxicated," the information said. He was gone when an officer arrived; no word on whether he got the job.
