A 6-year-old boy with her was placed in the custody of Department of Family Services. The woman knocked at a home on South Woodland Drive in the middle of the night Thursday and asked for help. Officials said she seemed to be under the influence of some drug, raising questions about her fitness to have the boy.

Two men fought. An arm reportedly broke. No one wanted to press charges.

A dispute at Smith's was solved when a woman got her money back and the store's groceries were returned.

A threatening call to the city attorney was reported.
