Verna Christine Wimsett, 91

Verna Christine Wimsett, 91, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell.

She was born Feb. 23, 1914, in Flasher, N.D., to Klaus and Emma (Schachenmeyer) Janssen. Verna graduated from high school in Steel City, Neb., in 1933.

She worked at Lockhead for a number of years, and later worked at Highline Community College in Washington state.

Verna enjoyed sewing all of her life. She also enjoyed gardening, but most of all she loved her family and loved to be around her children and grandchildren.

She was survived by her two daughters, Kristine Wimsett of Kalispell, and Karyn Weipert and husband, Mark, of Auburn, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Lucas, Nicholas and Jacob Weipert, Kelsie Wimsett and Sierra Dean.

Memorial services for Verna will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Tim Bartholomew of the Stillwater Free Lutheran Church officiating. Urn burial will be afterward at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
