Whitefish church hosts fund-raiser

First Presbyterian Church in Whitefish hosts a holiday bazaar and silent auction from 2 to 6 p.m. today. There will be art, heirloom quilts, and entertainment and refreshments.

Proceeds go to the National Foundation for Transplants to help pay medical expenses of Whitefish resident Joannie Gregg, who is battling a rare bone-marrow cancer and will require a bone-marrow transplant.

The bazaar is from 2 to 6 p.m., and the silent auction is from 4 to 6 p.m. Visit the church, 301 Central Ave., in Whitefish.

Carvers group plans fund-raiser

Carvers Unlimited in Columbia Falls is having a holiday fund-raiser sale from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at their shop.

The sale features all styles of wood carvings.

All items will be sold at wholesale prices, and 20 percent of the total sales will benefit North Valley Hospital, Columbia Falls Fire Department, Columbia Falls High School shop classes and Columbia Falls Hunters Education.

The shop is next to Pamida.

Church hostsholiday bazaar

Epworth United Methodist Church, 329 Second Ave. E., in Kalispell has its annual holiday bazaar, bake sale and luncheon from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Coffee and sweet rolls will be served from 9 to 11 a.m., and a lunch of turkey noodle soup, rolls and homemade pie will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The bazaar features fall and winter craft items, handmade gifts, holiday decorations and baked goods.

It also will have next-to-new Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and items.

Proceeds support mission projects that provide relief services for children and women in the area, statewide and around the world.

Bake sale today at Kalispell church

A this and that sale of basement and bazaar items, and baked goods is being held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Central Christian Church, Second Avenue East and Third Street, in Kalispell.

A quiche brunch and chili lunch also will be available along with tea or coffee.

Trails group hosts harvest dance

Rails to Trails of Northwest Montana is hosting a harvest dance and pie auction at 7:30 p.m. today at the Smith Valley Grange.

Come and enjoy lively bidding on the best pies in the county.

A silent auction on art and crafts gift items also is planned.

Admission is one pie a person, two pies a family, or $5 for adults and $2.50 for children.

Music will be provided by the Grin and Bear It String Clan and dancing is encouraged.

The Smith Valley Grange is located on U.S. 2 West, four miles west of Kalispell.

All proceeds go to Rails to Trails.
