Georgia A. (Schrlau) Gawe, 63, of Clifton Park, N.Y., died peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Dec. 30, 1941, and was the daughter of Marie Hildebrandt Theall of Binghamton, N.Y., and the late George Schrlau and stepdaughter of the late Duane Theall. She had lived in Clifton Park since 1975 and was formerly of East Granby, Conn.

Georgia was a graduate of Hawley High School in Pennsylvania and she attended Barrington College, (now known as Gordon College), in Barrington, R.I. As a matchless "people person," throughout her career Georgia greeted many clients with her brilliant smile of sunshine working as the office manager for Dr. Allan Rosell, DDS in Clifton Park, N.Y., for 22 years and most recently with Dr. Mark Roschinsky, DDS in Round Lake, N.Y., for the past four years until her retirement Aug. 8.

Those around her were unconditionally loved by her unforgettable presence and selfless demeanor. It had been said, "To know Georgia is to love Georgia." Full of vitality, she loved life and all of its simple pleasures like animals, flowers and music. She was, indeed, a gourmet chef (Who could say "no" to those chocolate-chip cookies?) and a devoted care taker to her beloved family of adopted cats. Georgia was definitely, "one in a million." Above all, her steadfast love for God and her family and they for her was a most precious gift.

She married the love of her life, David C. Gawe, on June 27, 1964. As a nurturing and giving person, she was the wonderful mother of Carrie Lynne (Dale) Newhart of Clifton Park and David C. (Mindi) Gawe Jr. of Whitefish. She was the caring grandmother of Rachael Lynne Newhart and Christian David Newhart. Her mother, Marie Theall, resides at Susquehanna Nursing Home in Johnson City, N.Y. Her sister, Nancy (Schrlau) Baker of Port Crane, N.Y., also survives as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Georgia's life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, 142 Lower Newtown Road, in Halfmoon, N.Y., with the Rev. Duke Hergatt, pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Georgia's memory to SEND International No. 56171534, P.O. Box 513., Farmington, MI 48332.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065. 518-371-5454.
