Flathead County Sheriff's Office was called after midnight Wednesday outside of Super 1 when a man with several beers and some cigarettes in his hands reportedly launched something at a passing vehicle. He was the one wearing a tan coat and a wig. A deputy advised him to stay out of traffic.

Two 5-year-old boys, missing from the Wild Rose Bed and Breakfast in Coram, were found in the woods.

Stationary items found in the middle of roadways included a bale of hay on U.S. 93 and West Reserve Drive, a vehicle on Farm To Market Road, and a stunned deer on Montana 82 that eventually ran into the side of a car.

Search and rescue was called when a woman seemed to vanish Tuesday from an area on U.S. 93 south. She had returned to Helena and was fine.

A business owner reported suspicions that a bookkeeper is a forger. From Jellison Road came a complaint that a Canadian company sent the resident a check for $2,800, asking that $2,300 be returned. The original check turned out to be forged, as were two more, and the resident is out $2,300 in a classic scam. Checks were reportedly stolen and forged on Harmony Road.

A man said he was assaulted by another man on Bierney Creek Road. An assault was reported in the youth jail. Two youths fought in Hungry Horse. Authorities were called when a 12-year-old girl pushed another girl on Mallard Loop. At Somers School, a boy is accused of biting someone.

A garage in Marion was broken into.

A transient loaded up a shopping cart with items and left Wal-Mart, overlooking that one crucial step of paying for them. He was arrested for theft and the items were returned.

An ambulance was called for a man who walked out of a bar and fell on the sidewalk, injuring his head. There was a report of an intoxicated man driving into a flower bed at the bowling alley in Bigfork, but there was no evidence of damage and his wife arrived to pick him up. More intoxication was reported at about 2:30 a.m. by a man who had earlier yelled and made threats to a woman. He was arrested.

A resident on LaSalle Road would be grateful if the people building a coffee stand next door could put down their hammers before 10 p.m.

A vehicle found crashed in Marion had blood inside it, but no sign of the driver.

It was disquieting for a LaBrant Road resident when a long-distance company revealed having his date of birth, Social Security number and address. He doesn't have phone service with that company.

On Columbia Mountain Road, a man reported that his ex-wife co-opted their son's identity to receive services.

Three tires were flattened on Nicholson Drive. A dozen road signs in Pleasant Valley have been used for target practice. There will be no more of that dirt-bike riding through private property on Ninth Street West in Hungry Horse.
