Misfired gunshots after the opening of hunting season were problematic for the Flathead County Sheriff's Office. A woman on Beaver Lake Road said shots were fired so close to her she had to hit the ground. Gunshots were heard Sunday night on Patrick Creek Road, where a green Grand Cherokee was seen leaving the area. Bullet holes were found in tires on Riverside Road. An 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital from a convenience store; he suffered a gunshot to the foot. On U.S. 2 West, shots fired toward a residential area caused concern. On Bigfork Stage Road, hunters chased a deer across a resident's property, saying they had permission to shoot on property north of him. They had no hunters orange and were wearing just T-shirts; the resident was concerned about shooting in the populated area. Signs were shot in the Foy's Lake area. On Star Meadows Road, a stray bullet entered a home.

An assault was reported in the jail. An alleged assault on Tetrault Road was reported, second-hand. In Coram, a man reportedly struck another man in the back of the head with a tire iron. Threats were reported on Reeds Lane.

At 2:30 a.m. Monday, Canyon Quick Response Unit, Highway Patrol, and Columbia Falls ambulance were called to Martin City, where a vehicle went into the ditch and landed on its side. The driver was charged with DUI and was also arrested on two warrants.

On Sunday night, a man in a dark Honda drove beside on a woman on U.S. East, with his interior lights on, exposing himself to her.

Thefts from vehicles happened on Middle Road, Antelope Trail. A shop was broken into on Whitetail Crossing. Medication and two diamond rings are missing from a home on South Cedar Drive. Tools were stolen from a shed on Hathaway Lane. A computer, cash, and paperwork are missing from a construction business. Suspected embezzlement was reported at another business. Fraud was reported at Haywire Gulch.

A domestic disturbance was reported in Coram on Monday morning.

A man on Mission Trail interrupted a chunky teenage boy who was prowling around inside the man's locked garage, according to a report from Kalispell police. The resident chased him out and picked up his bike. There was a report of the same intruder on Buffalo Stage Road, doing the same thing.

On Sunday night, a vehicle accident was reported near West Valley School caused a search for a young driver, who was found about an hour later. She was taken to the hospital.
