Whitefish fire department responded to a quarter-acre fire in the trees on Upper Whitefish Lake Road Friday evening.

Marion ambulance and Marion, South Valley and West Valley fire departments responded to a slash pile fire that was burning out of control on Emmons Canyon Road Saturday afternoon.
