Whitefish police were called to shut down a bonfire on West Sixth Street at 2 a.m. Thursday.

An arrest warrant for a man who allegedly failed to register as a violent offender was served on him when he went to court for sentencing on another matter Thursday. He was sent to jail.

Police helped when a baby was locked in a car on Birchhill Drive Thursday when the temperature started to climb.
