Car crash kills man

| September 23, 2005 1:00 AM

A 71-year-old Hungry Horse man died Thursday afternoon in a vehicle accident on Montana 206 and Jensen Road.

Flathead County Undersheriff and deputy coroner Mike Meehan said Patrick Boyle was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.

Meehan said it appears Boyle was passing a Suburban that was turning left off of the highway when they collided. That driver was uninjured and damage was minimal, but Boyle's vehicle rolled into a ditch. Meehan said Boyle was not wearing a seat belt.

Besides Meehan, Columbia Falls ambulance, the Badrock Fire Department, and Montana Highway Patrol were dispatched.

It is the second highway fatality in two days in Flathead County.
