Margaret was born July 21, 1923, in Havre. She was the only daughter of Frank and Aminta (Dillenbeck) Wilson. She was raised and educated in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1941.

She married Donald E. Loranger later that same year; they shared 54 years of marriage together. Margaret was a homemaker most of her life, but always remembered with fondness her years working as a nurse's aide, and her work baking many wedding cakes for local residents over the years.

Margaret was a life-long member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, and was active in many service clubs, including Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, and Eagles Auxiliary. She shared her love of fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time at her cabin in the Bear Paw with her children and grandchildren, and was passionate about such hobbies as painting, crocheting, baking and doll-making.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald E. Loranger Sr. in 1995.

Margaret is survived by her two children, Donald E. and Janet Loranger Jr. of Bigfork, and Suzy and Alex Capdeville of Havre; seven grandchildren, Tracy and Darren Dobie of Bozeman, Jason Morse of Seattle, Joni and Mike Kelly of Kirkland, Wash., Michael Loranger of Florida, Heidi and Chad Murri of Bozeman, Landon Capdeville of Denver, and Chase Capdeville of Bozeman; and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Andrew and Evan Kelly of Kirkland, and Tyler and Hallie Dobie of Bozeman; and her special friend, Dick Winter of Havre.
