Glacier Park airport names new director

The Flathead Airport Municipal Airport Authority has hired a new director for Glacier Park International Airport. Cindi Martin will begin her duties Aug. 14.

Martin has more than 20 years of experience in operations and administration of commercial service and general aviation airports. She earned a degree in professional aeronautics and airport management from Embry-Riddle University.

She is currently the airport director in Casper, Wyo.

Glacier Park has been searching for a new director since Mike Daigle stepped down May 2. After advertising the position in major airport-industry publications, the Airport Authority brought in six applicants for interviews.

Monte Eliason, airport director before Daigle, has been serving as interim airport director.
