Donald Marshall Wylder, 89

Donald Marshall Wylder, 89, passed away on March 23, 2006, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, due to pneumonia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.

Donald was born Aug. 27, 1916, the son of Louis and Mary (Montgomery) Wylder, of Cathay, N.D. He grew up on the family farm in Cathay, and was raised there and in Harvey, N.D. He attended Cathay High School, graduating with the class of 1933.

On May 11, 1947, he married Marjorie F. Kirkelie in Donnybrook, N.D.

Donald owned and operated a farm in Harvey, N.D. In 1954 they moved to Kalispell, where he owned and operated a farm in the LaSalle area until 1963.

He then worked in the rod mill at the aluminum plant in Columbia Falls for 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Nancy Wylder Western, in 1979; his brother, Eugene Wylder; and his sisters, Robina Davis and Ellen Heron.

Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Floriene Wylder, at Buffalo Hill Terrace in Kalispell; son, Dennis, and wife, Francine Wylder, of Tucson, Ariz.; and daughter, Donette, and husband, Bruce Williams, of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughter, Diedre Ogden, of Las Vegas; great-granddaughters, Jocelyn Ogden, 8, and Terryn, 5, of Las Vegas; and his sister, Lucille Hesley.
