A trap set for a troublemaker was tripped sometime Wednesday night on Whitefish Stage Road, but no intruder was found in the morning. The woman's children set the trap on the stairs that led to a sliding-glass door.

Thieves unloaded a construction trailer full of power tools that belong to Rocky Mountain Enterprise. The crime occurred on Whitefish Stage Road north of Birch Grove.

Two women with a baby apparently were verbally abusing drivers about raising dust on Bowdish Road. The driver said he was driving at about half the speed limit when the women jumped in front of his vehicle and began the verbal assault.

Deputies investigating a call about smoke from a house on Fifth Avenue West were met at the door by a woman with a burned can of beans.

A woman on Cobler Village reported to deputies that an uninvited visitor to her house had taken Tylenol with codeine, morphine and other drugs, along with DVDs and a gas can.
