They did but shouldn't have

| October 6, 2006 1:00 AM

Kalispell police took calls about people who were where they shouldn't have been.

Among them was a report from the Painted Horse Grille, where a woman was caught going through a freezer in the basement. On North Meridian Road, a man came out of the shower to find a strange woman in his apartment. She left when he asked her to.

At Lawrence Park, two men thought picnic tables would look better if they weren't right-side-up. Three other youths pointed a rifle at Faith Alliance Church. Four vehicles full of teenagers prompted a complaint at Kalispell Center Mall when they wouldn't leave after being asked. Keys were seized, teens were cited and mothers were notified after some memorable driving at Coot Court.

After a disturbance at Motel 6, a man was arrested on a warrant. Same thing after a traffic stop on South Main Street.

The people involved in a disturbance on Ninth Avenue West decided to separate for a while.

A girl called Eureka Police six times and said she was being kidnapped and held in a van in Kalispell. That wasn't true.

Someone poured gas on the back entrance to a building on East Nevada Street.

Threats and phone harassment were reported at Glacier Manor.

Two windows were broken out of The Forum on U.S. 93 South.

Officers helped a man who had locked himself out of his home on Sixth Avenue West with food cooking inside. No one helped a cat that's been in a tree for a couple of days on Third Avenue East.

There were three calls about spectacularly bad driving on U.S. 93 by Costco. Officers found the car, but it was empty.

A vehicle ran into a fence on Sixth Avenue West.

Loud, obscene music prompted a complaint on Park Street.

Prescription drugs were reported at Motel 6.
