Kalispell police were called when three boys, who looked to be about 13 or 14 years of age, shot a 7-year-old boy in the side of the face. He wasn't injured badly enough to need medical attention, but police did talk to the teenagers.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with partner or family member assault after he reportedly choked his girlfriend in a North Meridian apartment.

Alarms of the burglar and fire variety called fire and police officials to Edgerton and Russell schools several times. Everything appeared fine.

There was a smoking-related argument between a man and a clerk at the Days Inn lobby early Monday. It got heated. The man reportedly had had a couple strokes during the past few days, so he was taken to the hospital.

A man was arrested in connection with partner or family member assault after an incident early Monday at the Blue and White Motel. The victim reportedly called for help and shut herself in the bathroom, then was taken to the hospital after police arrived.

Two young children, who looked to be about 2 and 5 years of age, were playing in a resident's yard on Ashley Drive. When asked, they said their aunt was looking after them while their parents were working. The resident walked back home with them, but reportedly was met by rudeness.

A room at the Blue and White Motel was reported completely vandalized by a guest.

Four boys reportedly jumped a fence into a yard on Third Avenue East and broke a sign. The resident agreed to work with the boys' parents on the broken sign.
