BROWNING - That's correct: Columbia Falls 45, Browning 0.

Columbia Falls ripped Browning pitching for 24 hits and capitalized on 17 errors by the hosts to romp to an easy Western A softball victory Friday.

The blowout was shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

Amber James doubled and homered for the Wildkats. Teammates Amanda Richards and Vanesha Riley both doubled twice.

Amanda Millard had four hits in six trips to the plate for the Wildkats.

Columbia Falls scored 11 times in the first, second and fifth inning. It tallied 10 more runs in the fifth and two in third.

LIBBY - Brooke Hageness belted a fourth inning home run and checked Eureka on one-hit to claim the victory in the circle as Libby coasted to a Western A victory.

Libby, 7-2 in league games and overall, put the game away with a six-run fourth inning.

Hageness walked just one batter while fanning eight in the six-inning contest.

Laice Dedrick had Libby's other extra base hit, a double.

Eureka's lone hit came in the sixth inning.
