The lights were on, the door was unlocked and the sign said the store was open. But there was no one at Kalispell Copy Center to help them with their purchases. They checked in the back to see if someone was hurt; no one was there, either, and the back door was wide open. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies tried to lock the doors but couldn't without the key, and the owner was nowhere to be found, despite several attempts to locate him. They left messages on his phone.

The person who took the vehicle for a test drive a week ago neglected to bring it back, so its owner reported it stolen.

A woman with a split lip and bloody face said she was assaulted in the Blue Moon parking lot.

When its partner was hit by a car, the duck refused to leave its side, prompting a call to dispatch from a concerned passerby.

The loud music coming from the Shady Lane roller rink was making her house bounce, she said.

Blanchard Lake Road residents suspect their neighbors are responsible putting nails in some of their trees and felling others.

Possible electricity and mail thefts were reported on Wulff Lane in Lakeside and in Columbia Heights. Theft from a construction site was reported on Dawn Drive.

A noise complaint in Bigfork resulted in two citations for underage drinking. Two more were issued during a traffic stop on Crestview Road. A 16-year-old boy was taken to juvenile detention after the same violation.
