BELGRADE - The Class AA Glacier Twins began their American Legion baseball season by taking three of four games from Belgrade last weekend.

The Twins split Saturday's doubleheader, claiming the first game 15-4 before falling 6-2 in the nightcap. Glacier swept Sunday's action, beating the Bandits 8-4 and then 19-7.

The Bandits (2-6) moved up from Class A to AA this season.

"We did what we should have done," Twins coach Jarod Grubb said. "The biggest thing was we found out what we need to work on and what we do well. We found out what dull points we need to sharpen up - learned a lot about the team - so that was huge.

"We're starting to get our approaches, but mechanically we looked great, and we're just starting to get on the same page."

Glacier (3-1) hosts the Class A Mission Valley Mariners on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
