Flathead County sheriff's deputies are investigating allegations of sexual intercourse without consent made by a 13-year-old girl in Columbia Falls.

A power line reported to be down across the road on East Evergreen Drive one block east of the school turned out to be a phone line that was dealt with safely.

Somebody reported fears for the welfare of a person standing on the Whitefish Stage Road bridge near McElroy and Wilken "with a bad expression on his face." He was just watching the river, he told a deputy.
