Crash on U.S. 93 kills motorcyclist

A 58-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle went into a ditch mid-afternoon Saturday on U.S. 93, just north of Lakeside.

The man's name likely will be released today, said Dave Leib, Flathead County deputy coroner.

It is unknown why the man - apparently an inexperienced motorcyclist - went into the ditch, Leib said.

An autopsy was scheduled.
