Nona Marie Hoylman, 85

Nona Marie Hoylman, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. She was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Libby, the daughter of Henry and Mildred (Williams) Velten. The family lived in Olney, and moved to Kalispell in 1925. She had been a Kalispell resident since that time.

She attended the old North Side Grade School, Central School and graduated from Flathead high School in 1938. Nona then attended Northwestern Business College in Spokane, graduating in 1940. Her employment included Conrad Bank, Northwest Video, First Federal Savings and Loan and General Sheet Metal.

Nona married Byron Hoylman on Sept. 6, 1942, in Yuma, Ariz. They were married for 55 years until his death in 1998.

Nona was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas of Chevy Chase, Md., and Richard and his wife, Darlene, of Columbia Falls; sister-in-law, Elsie Greuter, of Lincoln, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews, including her special nieces, Janet Sands and Starlene Puuri, of Kalispell; and also her dear friends.

At her request, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.

The family of Nona Hoylman would like to thank the staff of Heritage Place and Kalispell Regional Medical Center for their special care.
