Fire, burglary investigated

Kalispell police are investigating a fire and burglary that occurred on Second Street East.

The resident walked into a room to find his computer and keyboard missing. The room was filled with smoke, but the fire had been put out when he arrived. A pipe was broken and water was gushing everywhere.

An arson investigation is under way.

Saturday was a bad day for portable toilets. Someone tossed a firework into one on Garland Street; a caller who watched it happen said the outhouse began smoking. On Taelor Road, someone tipped over a toilet. Earlier in the week, the same outhouse had been set on fire.

A Teal Drive woman believes the dog stool left on her yard was planted by the neighbors.

First he asked her for money, then the tall man sporting denim shorts and a girl's tank top followed her around the grocery store.

A concerned neighbor called police after spotting a little boy running with a steak knife in his yard. The boy's mother said she'd handle it.

A woman says her nephew is harassing her. First he tried to get into her Sixth Street West home, then he made threatening phone calls.

A pregnant woman said her boyfriend assaulted her.

Someone answered the phone, then hung up, when he called his Kalispell home from Las Vegas. He suspects it was a man police removed from his home earlier this week.

A Ninth Avenue West resident is fed up with whoever keeps throwing rotten apples into his vehicle.

It was late Friday night when the man knocked on her window, asked her for a cigarette, then left.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of assault with a weapon after a fight at the Finish Line Cocktail Lounge and Casino. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Police arrested a young man at the fairgrounds for minor in possession, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

One man was arrested for criminal trespass after a woman reported seeing him and another guy trying to kick in the neighbor's door on North Meridian Road.

Police arrested a man for drunken driving.

Someone posing as her Canadian grandson called and asked a Crestview Road woman to wire money to a Quebec City, Quebec, address. He said a game warden had confiscated his belongings during a fishing trip.

A bike valued at $300 was stolen on Seventh Avenue West-North.
