Man had no respect for the printed word

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were looking for a man, who had been drinking, outside an office supply store on U.S. 2. He had been chased away from a grocery store for urinating on the newspaper boxes a short while earlier.

A fight brewing at a bar on U.S. 2 and Montana 40 calmed down before deputies arrived.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor assault and obstructing an officer after attacking a woman on Whitefish Stage Road. He ran off after the incident, but deputies were able to track him down.
