Hard liquor teaches a hard lesson

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies cited a 16-year-old girl for possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct on Klondyke Loop in Somers after she drank too much and slammed her father's arm in the door. The girl had consumed so much alcohol that responding deputies couldn't wake her up. She was taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning, where it was determined her blood alcohol level was above a .28.

A cat was set on fire on Half Moon Road. It was dead when deputies arrived.

A 29-year-old man turned himself into deputies after a warrant was issued for his arrest on a probation violation. He had been convicted of vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol. He is in Flathead County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Horses got loose on Springcreek Road.

A sign was knocked over on Emmons Canyon road.

People were bitten by dogs in separate incidents on Cemetery Road and Peregrine Lane.

A man and his grandson got into an argument about the dogs fighting on U.S. 2. Everything was fine when deputies arrived.

A man in a black car was reported to be chasing a woman walking down First Avenue North in Hungry Horse. He was gone when deputies arrived.

An 11-year-old boy was assaulted by another boy on Shady Lane.

Two 18-year-old men, who had been drinking, got into a fight on Corbett Lane in Coram. Neither decided to press charges.

Bears were spotted on Westwood Lane and and behind a store on U.S. 2.

People creating a disturbance on River Street in Bigfork dispersed before deputies arrived.

A camera was stolen on Conrad Drive.
