CMR storms by Flathead in final half
Braves led 17-7 at the half; fall in season opener, 49-24

The CMR running back rushed for 140 yards and scored one touchdown as Great Falls Russell claimed a 49-24 victory (its fourth straight) over the Flathead Braves Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
CMR outscored the Braves by 35 points in the second half.
The Braves (0-1, 0-1) led 17-7 at the half, but started the third quarter on a sour note when they fumbled deep in their own territory.
CMR took immediate advantage with a four-yard touchdown run by Cramer Caouette. That cut the Flathead lead to 17-14.
The Rustlers went ahead on their next possession, 21-17. Flathead answered right back as it drove 72 yards in three plays. Junior quarterback Brock Osweiler found Charlie Dotson for a 61-yard score.
But that was it for the Braves as CMR reeled off 28 unanswered points.
Osweiler was 16-for-29 for 280 yards on the night. He spread his passes out well 'd1 Mike Gallagher caught four passes for 99 yards, Levi Walker caught six for 71 yards and Dotson had four catches for 77 yards.
Dotson was the all-around workhorse for Flathead as he also carried the ball 17 times for 53 yards.
Flathead plays host next Friday to Helena High. The Bengals (0-1, 0-1), fell 20-14 to Billings Senior Friday night in overtime.
