Eleanor B. Snyder, 96

Eleanor B. Snyder passed away on Aug. 25, 2007. She was born in Kansas City, Kan., on March 1, 1911, the daughter of Roger B. Brewster, M.D., and Edith McCarty Brewster. Eleanor lost her mother in 1922.

Eleanor Brewster met her life-long sweetheart, James Snyder, while they attended school at the University of Kansas. She and Jim married Sept. 1, 1933.

In 1950, Eleanor and Jim moved to Colorado where they raised their family. Jim practiced law and Eleanor was a homemaker. She was devoted to her husband and children. She was a kind, gentle, loving, and thoughtful wife and mother.

Eleanor was predeceased in death by her husband, Jim, in 2002; and by her beloved sister, Margaret Brewster McKinney who had lived in Siloam Springs, Ark., in 2001.

Eleanor is survived by three sons, Jim of Boulder, Colo., Howard of Cardston, Alberta, and Bob of Kalispell. She is also survived by five granddaughters and one grandson.

Her family expresses their gratitude to the staff of the Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Jason Schmidt, M.D., and especially the nursing staff at Brendan House who provided Eleanor with exceptional skilled care and compassion.
