Missing firefighter returns safely

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies ran the roads looking for a Sanders County firefighter who went missing while driving between the Plains camp and the Marion camp on the Chippy Creek Fire on Tuesday evening. He returned the next morning.

An ex-boyfriend broke into a woman's house and assaulted her new friend. The man, who had been drinking, bolted when deputies arrived.

An employee of a grocery store in Evergreen called deputies after he recognized a customer's face from a poster hanging in the store.

Someone wrote a letter to a kid in juvenile detention telling the inmate they were going to break him out of the joint.
